Story Time Every Sunday

Sundays at 10:30am

Join us at 10:30am – 11:00am for Onion River Kids Story Time. Every Sunday, we sit down with a few good books, and a few great kids, and read. Amy will be in the store at 10am, ready to read! While some of her books are about fun outdoor adventures (we are a store for outdoor kids, after all!), many are classics you’ll remember and your kids will love. Join us this weekend!

Children’s Foot Clinic

Friday, October 7, 4pm

Curious about the right kind of footwear for your children’s developing feet? Want to make sure your kids are wearing the right size and correct style for their feet? Then this clinic is for you! Join us as we welcome Sarah Pashby, Pediatric Physical Therapist with Central Vermont Medical Center to the shop to help guide us through the many options for kids footwear and advice about how to keep your kids feet healthy and happy!

Refreshments provided and kids are welcome – we have a table of crayons, toys and books to entertain!

We’re Turning 3!

Join us this Saturday for our 3rd Birthday Celebration! We’ll have cupcakes for the first 50 people through the door (delicious, delectable Birchgrove cupcakes!) and balloons for all the kids!

And, if you’re 3 years old, too, then you get a special treat. We’re giving all 3 year olds one of our Onion River Kids Vermont Maple yo-yo’s!

Montpelier Gives Back this Saturday!

After downtown Montpelier and our basement was flooded in May, our friends and neighbors stepped up to help us out. Now, it’s our turn. This Saturday, we, and lots of other Montpelier businesses are giving back. Shop downtown at Onion River Sports, The Shoe Horn Boutique or Onion River Kids and we’ll give 10% of our sales to the VT Foodbank to help with their flood relief efforts. So, join us downtown this Saturday and help us help our neighbors.

Story Time at Onion River Kids
Sundays 10:00am – 10:30am (starting 9/4/11)
Join us for a morning of stories at Onion River Kids We’ll gather at 10:00am (kids, please bring your parents), and read a few short books geared toward ages 2-8 with at least one relating to enjoying the outdoors, and wrap things up by 10:30am so you can go out and enjoy the day! Stories can be the perfect way to work up to a good hike or a day spent enjoying the outdoors!

Thanks to all of you who came to our lemonade stand with such enthusiasm in support of the Family Center!

We had a wild time with a fantastic group of girls who painted faces and blew up balloons….an encore may be in order….so stay tuned.

Lemonade for a Good Cause

Celebrate the last day of school (for Montpelier, at least) by coming down when the final bell rings for lemonade, face painting, sidewalk chalk, bubble blowing and more.

Donation only- all proceeds will benefit The Family Center of Washington County.

This Tuesday the 14th, around noontime here at Onion River Kids!
